Quote of The Week

"If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk?"
- Albert Einstein

My desk was empty the day it arrived in my house. I haven't managed to get it that way ever again. But then, it's a horizontal surface and they tend to collect things regardless.

My desk is usually covered with creeping clutter that has to be beaten back periodically.

That is my favorite quote you've posted yet.

Back when I had a desk it was always cluttered.

You mean if I clean off my desk, it drains my mind? :)

I LOVE that quote! It's my favorite!

At the moment all I have is a crappy warped board overtop the filing cabinets. I don't think that counts yet!

I think that the saying is pretty much an indication of whether or not someone is disorganized. If they trot it out, they likely are messy desk keepers.

Me, I'm a stacker. I have piles on my desk (when I have one).

There are times I feel like I'm beating the stacks back on occasion as well, Charles.

Thanks, Travis. Now you'll get to start fresh at least.

I think it depends on how long you can manage to keep it clear, Bernard, and even then, I know people who would strongly object to this quote. :-)

Thanks, Spy.

Wyrdd, if you are using it as a desk, you can call it a desk, even if it's really an ottoman or a piece of wood over file cabinets.
